UNIX and Linux Training Resources
Still a UNIX novice? We have lots of COMPLETELY FREE lessons on using and configuring Solaris. Some of these are older than others, and in some of them you can see our original thoughtwave.com website. It's kind of like looking at an old high school yearbook picture of us!
You can view several dozen beginner-level UNIX lessons, as well as guides for installing Scientific Linux and Fedora Linux. Best of all, there's an integrated SSH client available on the site that will work in most any JAVA-enabled browser.
Need to learn the vi editor so you can show off to the emacs fanatics? You can do that! Need to set up a Solaris Zone? You can do that! Want to build a GCC toolchain? You can do that.
NOTE: Some of these are from 2006, and there may be out of date lessons. If you find anything glaring, let us know.
