Account Executive (Los Angeles)

We're looking for experienced independent sales representatives to join our team. You can work out of your home, and we'll provide the phone and business cards. You'll be paid by 1099 so you can write off your own expenses. This is an opportunity to join us as a very small firm and help us grow immensely.

This may grow into full time W2 employment as our business grows, with the possibility for a full benefits package.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• At least five years of experience selling IT services.
• A clean, organized work area where you can devote several hours daily to generating leads and closing sales.
• A strong understanding of what UNIX can do and how to articulate that to potential customers.
• Willingness to be paid on commission. You do get a phone and business cards and an e-mail account, which we pay for.
• Bachelor's degree in any field.

Jonathan Kalbfeld, Founder

Jonathan has been working professionally in the field of information technology since 1994, but got his first computer in 1982. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Jonathan moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in the mid-1990s to pursue his childhood dream of working with computers. He has spent many thousands of hours in front of other peoples' computer screens diagnosing their technical problems and making their lives easier by providing not only technical expertise but also an appropriate degree of levity.

Jonathan has worked in industries ranging from Aerospace to Gene-Sequencing. His projects have ranged from simple desktop UNIX support to writing a SPARC-based operating system and everything in between. He has worked in both the private and public sector for places such as Sun Microsystems and NASA Ames Research Center as well as the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Jonathan graduated Summa-cum-laude with a BS in Business Administration from Walden University, an MBA in Finance from California State University Northridge, is a licensed California Real Estate Broker, and also has held the National Association of Securities Dealers Series 7 and Series 63 stockbroker licenses.

Marilyn Hin, Senior IT Consultant

Marilyn Hin has worked in the field of IT since 1994, but has also had a great deal of exposure to computers since the early 1980s. She has lived in Southern California most of her life, and has worked at such places as Earthlink, Encore Credit Corporation, and Universal Music Group. She is an expert in Database Administration, Data Models, and Software Engineering. Marilyn has a BA in Psychology from University of California at Los Angeles, and a BS in Information Systems from Mt. Sierra College.
